Four God's names

Four Names

God has many different names that describe His character. My 4 most favorite God’s names are Jehovah-Jireh, Jehovah-Rohi, El Roi and El Shaddai.
Jehovah-Jired means the Lord will provide.
Abraham called a place where he was going to sacrifice Isaac: Jehovah Jireh. When Abraham and Isaac were walking to the mountain Moriah Isaac asked his father Abraham, “where is the lamb for the burn offering” and Abraham said, “My son, God will provide Himself a lamb for a burn offering” and God did.
“9 Then they came to the place of which God had told him. And Abraham built an altar there and placed the wood in order; and he bound Isaac his son and laid him on the altar, upon the wood. 10 And Abraham stretched out his hand and took the knife to slay his son.
11 But the Angel of the LORD called to him from heaven and said, “Abraham, Abraham!”
So he said, “Here I am.”
12 And He said, “Do not lay your hand on the lad, or do anything to him; for now I know that you fear God, since you have not withheld your son, your only son, from Me.”
13 Then Abraham lifted his eyes and looked, and there behind him was a ram caught in a thicket by its horns. So Abraham went and took the ram, and offered it up for a burnt offering instead of his son. 14 And Abraham called the name of the place, The-LORD-Will-Provide;[b] as it is said to this day, “In the Mount of the LORD it shall be provided.”  Genesis 22:6-14
This name requires total trust and obedience to God. God is faithful, He will not let those that trust in Him to be ashamed (Ps 49:23). After all He said BLESSED are they that trust in God! (Jeremiah 17:7)

My 2nd most favorite God’s name is Jehovah Rohi. This name comes from Psalm 23 and it means: The Lord is my Shepherd. This name is very beautiful because it shows the relationship between shepherd and sheep.  Basically sheep totally rely on their shepherd. Shepherd provides the sheep with food, protection, guidance, leadership and everything else that is needed.
I am so glad that Jesus is My Shepherd and I shall not want anything because He provides me with everything that I need.  Even when I walk through tuff times, shadow of death, I will fear no evil for the Shepherd is with me and He protects me and helps me out.

My 3rd most favorite God’s name is El Roi. El Roi means: God who sees. This name is very comforting because I know God sees everything about me. He sees everything that is happening to me, with me and he understands. I feel secure and safe because HE sees andknows.   Because God is love, He will respond to me as a loving Father.
This name comes from Genesis 16. Hagar was running away from Sarah and God told her to go back. Hagar realized that even if she is running away, being mistreated, God sees her and wants the best for her.

From heaven the LORD looks down and sees all humankind; from His dwelling place He watches all  who live on earth - He Who forms the hearrts of all, Who considers everything they do.
                                                                                              Psalm 33:14-15

Finally my 4th most favorite God’s name is El Shaddai. This name means that God is All mighty. He is powerful, He can do anything.  This name is also very conforming.

God called Himself Almighty (Genesis 17:1-2) when He was speaking to Abraham about His promise. God was promising Abraham to give him many generations of children. Abraham and Sarah were in old age and they had no children a t all but they still continue believing in the promise of their Almighty God.  God is faithful and He showed his might and power by allowing Isaac to get born to very old parents. To this day we see God’s might and promised being fulfilled in the Hebrew people.
When things seem impossible, for God (El SHaddai)  all is possible.
Believe in God and in His Word!

Abraham, Moses, Joseph , David and Stephan

I was reading Acts 7 today. I loved it and was amazed about what God have told me through the chapter. I read the chapter many times before but found it to contain the same information that I knew from Genesis and other books in the Bible. I was very surprised today to learn a lot of new things and that God spoke directly to my heart, exactly what I needed. God is    very good and merciful! He hears prayers and answers them amazingly!!!

P.S. in order to understand theses you must read versus that are indicated on the left.

My lessons!

2-8       God knows your future in every single detail.
Trust, believe and obey Him. (E.g. Abraham)
God is faithful! He will do what He has promised even it His promises seam unrealistic.    (E.g. Abraham and Sarah had Isaac at very old age.)

“For nothing in impossible to God.”  Luke 1: 37

9-16     God may allow circumstances in your life that are very, very bad.(e.g. Joseph)
Remember that if God allowed it to happen, He will help you through it. He will be with just like He was with Joseph! And He will bless you greatly at the end!
Joseph: was sold by his brothers, became a slave, was thrown into prison…seems like the worst ever!!!..but…God is faithful to His people!!! He made Joseph 2nd from the pharaoh!!!! And Joseph was able to save many people’s lives including his family’s.

17-22   When things are bad believe God will rescue you and will bring goodness to your life.
He probably is working on it. (E.g. He is preparing Moses)

23-29   God is in control of every person’s heart. He leads people and guides them by “His clock”.  (E.g. When Moses turned 40, God allowed him to do “mistake” so that he will run out of Egypt.)

30-34   In His time, God will tell you what to do.

35-36   God will reveal Himself to you. You must stay close to Him and worship Him only!

43-50   Live your life the way so that you will find God’s grace (E.g. David) and God will bless you amazingly!!! (James 4: 6 God gives grace to the humble!!!!)

54-60   God will incredible help you in your worst circumstances and will bless you greatly at the end!!! (E.g. God allowed Stephan to see the city in heaven during his torturing death and God took him to heaven!)
