I cannot believe that we have been married now for more than ten months!!! Marriage is a great gift given to people by  God. It's a huge blessings and brings great joy especially when it is done according to His design. My definition of marriage is that it is a covenant between man and woman in which they live for each other for the rest of their lives. Marriage is also the best relationships combined and much more. Since now I am in this "boat", I hope everyone gets married and be happy as we are or even more. :D

A year of being thankful...

A year of being thankful

For couple years now I paid a closer attention to Bible verses that spoke about thanksgiving. I tries to be more thankful but I felt that I was not consistent in it. Even unchristians talked about how it is important to be thankful and the benefits of it. I learned about some people that gratitude has become part of their life. I thought that if unchristians can do that, just randomly give thanks, why can’t I give thanks to God who literally provides everything in my life.  For Christians, it is the will of God to be grateful.

Psalm 50:23

-          A hidden secret

Psalm 50:14-15

I understood that it is important to be thankful to God about everything, good and especially bad.  God is 100% in control of everything and He allows everything to happen for a reason. If I will take everything from God with gratitude, He will work it out for the best. (Collossians 3:17). (Attitude toward things in life)

There are many Bible verses that speak about gratitude. David constantly encouraged others to give  thanks to God and many times he was not in the best circumstances. (Psalm 100:4-5).

God did great things for Israelites when they thanked them (example: victory) and punished them even by death when they complained a lot (ex: Israelites in the wilderness). (1. Chron 16:8).
By looking at example that Jesus gave about the 10 lepers, we can see that only one out of ten lepers returned to give Jesus thank. By looking at this example only 10% of people are thankful. What percentage are you in? in the 90% or the 10%

This year I decided to become more practical in being thankful. I decided for the year of 2017 to write every morning minimum three things that I am grateful for. My goal was to write two positive thing and one negative. All this year with exception of mission trip and last two weeks, I was able to do it everyday.

The results were astonishing:
1.       I was a much happier person in general
2.       My attitude was positive
3.       God worked amazingly in my life
4.       God blessed!!!
5.       God provided.
6.       God helped.
7.       Nothing to complain about.
8.       Always looking for something good in everything.
9.       I wasn’t doing it for last two weeks and I see how negativity grows on…
10.   Waking up with a  grateful heart!
11.   Tons of huge blessings!!!
12.   Huge list of what God has done this year for me.

7 Top Books of 2014

Books are a great and amazing gift given from God for humans. God Himself wrote a book for humans to read and to learn from. The book is called Bible. I love Bible. It's truly an amazing/awesome/powerful/God inspired book!!! I read it everyday and learn something new from it everyday even though I read it now more than 10 times!
While I read Bible daily, sometimes I also read books that are written by humans. I try to read books that were written by godly people. There is so much you can learn from reading books! Books can change you, your way of thinking and your way of looking at the world! I strongly encourage people to read books! However, read goods books! (Bad books can bring a lot of damage to your soul.)
Last year (2014) I read a certain number of books. I  don't read as many books as I used to but I still try to read. I have picked 7 books that had a huge (good) impact on me! I strongly recommend you to read them!!! You will be truly blessed! (Don't forget to read Bible though ;)
Below, you can see different books on totally different topics. I want to share how I came across these books. I used to buy a lot of books, but not anymore. I don't have much room for them and some books I don't want to keep after reading them. Therefore it's kind of waste of money plus it creates extra clutter. (Although i would hate to call books clutter). Because of this I decided not to buy books! I do buy them sometimes but only if I really need a certain book and there is no other way to get to read it. (This happens rare :). I usually borrow books from people. We also have a great library in my church, so I have an opportunity to borrow books there. Sometimes I even go to Barnes and Nobles to read  books there. I like this way of getting my books because I don't get to pick the books out in the same way I would if I were to buy them. I get what is available because of this I got to read some amazing books that I would not have picked out if I had a choice. I am so glad about how God works things out in my life!!! :D
So here are the books, these books were all randomly found and they were totally amazing!!! If you can't "find" them, it's totally worth buying them!!!

Its very hard to rate these books from 1 to 7. Every book is very different, unique and amazing in it's own way. Therefore I'm going to list them in the order they are listed in the picture above and they were chosen for the picture randomly ;)

(Abrikosovoe Derevo, Apricot Tree)

is a great book that was written by Tamara Reznikova. This book is in Russian. It's a very interesting story about a girl who went through different struggles and in the end she found God. Because of knowing God she made right and selfless choices to have a bigger impact on other people. This book, I would call it a romantic novel, I think it's based on a true story. It is super interesting  and there is a lot to learn from it!

Jesus Christ the Master Evangelist written by Philip Delre is a deep book about how to present the Gospel the way Jesus did. In this book Delre helps reader to connect Old and New Testaments together. Then he explains the law. Basically what he writes is that person must understand that he is a sinner... but there is a lot more! Its a must, must read!!! I didn't return this book to the owner yet, I want to reread it again.

Growing up Duggar is a book written by Duggar four older sisters. I really hope you know about the Duggar family. It's a family that has 19 kids and they try to live biblical way. In this book the four older sisters (daughters) write about important relationships in our lives and how to deal with them. All girls should definably read this book! It has a lot of great suggestions and tips on being a godly girl in all areas of life especially relationships. May God bless this amazing family and help them to always be this godly example for this world!

Seeking Allah, finding JESUS is a book written by Nabeel Qureshi. Quereshi (its hard to write this in few words) is a medical doctor, who is also a christian apologist (how I understand it). He has many degrees :). In this book he wrote about his background, his early life and how he found Jesus. Before accepting Jesus Qureshi researched Christianity and Islam very diligently. He shared in the book what he found out. It's an eye opener!

The Brainy Bunch is a great book that was written by Kip and Mona Lisa Harding. This amazing couple (the authors) have ten children. Seven older children went to college by age 12. Kip and Mona Lisa are an amazing christian couple that worked hard to raise children that love God and children that do their best at what they are good at. Thought out this book Kip and Mona Lisa repeat that their kids are not genius, they just work hard at something that they like to do. Because of this children were able and are able to decide early on what they want to do in future. In this book they try to explain that and encourage parents to look for strengths and likes in their children and develop them more. This book also has a lot of great resources!!!

(Meeting with life) is another great book that was based on a true story. The author of this book is Lyudmila Plett (Людмила Плетт). This book is about a young girl, her life, how she found God and how God helped her go thought life's obstacles and be light in darkest places. This is a very, very interesting book! It is very hard to put it down once you start reading it! It's that good :).
Shepherding a Child's Heart is a great book for parents especially! This book was written by Tedd Tripp. In this book Tripp wrote about how important it is not to take care of physical aspects of child's life but heart as well. It is important to know what if going on in child's life on more an emotional level and help, shepherd the child in a right direction! One way to do that is by asking questions... A great, great book!

I really hoped you enjoyed this super personal book review! Also I hope that you read these books, if not all, at least couple. They are so so good!!!

Overview of 2013

2013. I can't believe its pretty much over!!!
I always thought about this year because this was the year I was to graduate from college. It seemed so far away!!! well, now its over .

2013 has been  I would say a busy year for me. Everyday I had some goals, things to do that I wrote in my planner. Days or rather weeks went by super fast.

Spring: I tied to enjoy my last semester in college. Enjoyed my classes and spent many hours in college studying and spending time with friends.

May: I graduated from University of New Hampshire with a  bachelor degree in Biology.

This is a picture of me and my friends on Graduation day.
Summer: 10 days after graduation I went to Ukraine on a mission trip.
It was amazing how this God worked out this trip so well. I wanted to go on a mission trip this summer but we (my family) were not planing to go. I asked my dad to pray about such opportunity... One day (it was last week of March) one of my brothers came and told me that we got invited to do a camp for school in village Gvozdov (that is where my family is from). I got exited right away realizing that this was an answer to my prayer. We prayed and began getting ready.  Because it was all so sudden we bought our tickets a month before we actually flew but Praise God the prices did not rise very high.
On May 25th we went to a annual youth conference in NY and the next day (May 26th) we flew out from JFK to Moscow from which we took a plane to Kiev. We slept a lot during the trip because we did not sleep much during the conference or even before it. I slept so hard that  I missed the food when it was served so I landed in Kiev being very hungry.
I Ukraine we did 4 weeks of camps, lead youth gatherings, participated in church and did many other things. Our days were planned out pretty well.
This is a video of us singing when kids from the camp came to church.
(left). This is our team in one of the camps. Camp in Gvozdov. We all had green shirts with words in Ukrainian on them "The Lord is my Shepherd" Psalm 23.
(right)These are girls in my team in camp in Gorodische. They are very nice girls.

In about three days before we were going to fly home to U.S. we got invited to go to Russia with a group from Ukraine. It was a bit hard decision but after praying and talking to our parents we decided to stay in Ukraine and go to Russia.
We drove to Russia on 3 vans (26 people). It took us 48 hours until we reach out destination (Sterlitamak, Barkishkostan in Russia). Here we traveled to different cities and towns encouraging local churches and working with kids as well as youth.
(left)  Participating in church in Ufa, Barkishkostan (Russiia)(right) Hiking on beautiful mountains in Barkishkostan (Russia).

I met these wonderful girls in Ukraine with whom I was able to spend almost two months ministering together. I am so thankful to God for giving my such godly and wonderful friends!!! We were able to record this video http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SZ9p-59nYCM of a song that we sang many. many times. This song brings me a lot of memories!!!

I am so thankful to God for such an amazing mission trip that He allowed me to be part of!

For the LORD God is a sun and shield: the LORD will give grace and glory: no good thing will he withhold from them that walk uprightly.  Psalm 84:11

Fall: Started a girls' prayer group. It is such a blessing!!! :)
I work as a substitute teacher. I enjoy this job a lot. Its a lot of fun to spend time with children of all ages and get to know them. I feel that I can write many interesting books on the children that I get to meet.  I also like the free time that I get to catch up on my reading.
I was  also able to take interpreting class. It was also a lot of fun!
God has also blessed me with a new car and a laptop.
SO, yap. this is a very small glimpse of my wonderful life. I can say 100% that it would not be even close to being this wonderful if God would not be in a center of it.  He is my life, He is like my breath. Every day I live, I live with Him!!!

I would like to share some things that helped me a lot in my spiritual life. These resources were a tremendous help for my spiritual life to be vibrant and get better each day. off course

Bible- off course this is ESSENTIAL!!! nothing can substitute it!!!
also a good prayer life (I'm still working on this one)!!!
Daily Success- a devotional based on the commandments of Christ.  Amazing!!!
Books- I'm planning to make a separate post for this subject.
Preachers- David Gibbs, Otto Koning, Paul Washer, David Wilkerson, Vitaliy Korchevsky and others

Here is a sermon based on Psalm 91 by David Gibbs.

These are the main three points from the sermon!!!
  1. HE does all things well
  2. He is in control of all
  3. You need to praise Him
2014 is almost here. what is this year going to bring? only the Lord knows and I trust Him, that He has everything under control, He knows 2014 in all the details and He does all things well!!! :)

He is the Rock, His work is perfect: for all His ways are judgment: a God of truth and without iniquity, just and right is He.     Deut. 32:4

As for God, his way is perfect; the word of the LORD is tried: He is a buckler to all them that trust in Him.               2 Sam. 22:31
